• Insert the oil lock piece, inner tube and damper rod into the
outer tube and install the oil seal by using the special tool.

• Install the oil seal stopper ring.

DAMPER ROD BOLT
• Apply a small quantity of THREAD LOCK 1342 to the threads
of the damper rod bolt.
, 99000-32050: THREAD LOCK “1342”
• Tighten the damper rod bolt to the specified torque.
& Damper rod bolt: 20 N·m (2.0 kgf-m, 14.5 lb-ft)
FORK OIL
• Pour the specified fork oil into the inner tube.
$Front fork oil capacity (each leg): 172 ml
(4.3/4.5 US/lmp oz)
+99000-99001-SS8: SUZUKI FORK OIL SS-08 (#10)
or an equivalent fork oil
• Hold the front fork leg in avertical position and adjust the fork
oil level by using the special tool.
$Front fork oil level: 173.0 mm (6.81 in)
" 09943-74111: Fork oil level gauge
NOTE:
When adjusting the oil level, remove the fork spring and com-
press the inner tube fully.
Make sure that the oil seal stopper ring is fitted
securely.
