NOTE:
Hold the front fork legs, move them back and forth and make
sure that the steering is not loose.

After performing the adjustment and installing the
handlebars, “rock” the front wheel assembly forward
and backward to ensure that there is no play and that
the procedure was accomplished correctly. Finally,
check to make sure that the steering stem moves
freely from left to right with its own weight. If play or
stiffeness is noticeable, re-adjust the steering stem
nut.
