ENGINE OIL AND FILTER CHANGE
Note*: Carry out this operation with the engine
hot.
CAUTION
Be careful not to touch the hot oil.
- Remove the push rod by unscrewing the front
retaining screw (1) and the two rear screws (2)
(one per side).
- Position the motorcycle on a flat surface in ver-
tical position.
- Unscrew the plug (3).
- Place a basin underneath the oil reservoir below
the drain plug (4).
- Unscrew the drain plug (4) located under the oil
reservoir and let all the oil drain out.
- Unscrew the two retaining screws (5) and re-
move the cover (6) paying attention to the direc-
tion of removal.
-Remove the filter, check its condition and replace
it if necessary.
-Refit the drain plug (4) replacing the sealing
washer (tightening torque: 20 Nm).
-Refit the filter and the cover (6) and replace the
gasket, paying attention to respect the correct di-
rection of assembly.
-Pour about 1.35 kg of oil into the oil reservoir
through the filler neck (7).
-Start the engine and let it run for a couple of
minutes.
-Pour in the remaining oil (1 kg) to top up to the
correct level.
-Refit the side plug (3).
