CHAIN CLEANING AND LUBRICATION
The motorcycle is equipped with a chain (1) with
O-rings; to clean it, operate as follows;
-Position the motorcycle in such a way that the
rear wheel is lifted from the ground and can turn.
-Clean the chain using detergents specifically for
chains with O-rings, then dry it with a clean cloth.
-Lubricate the chain (1) with a suitable spray lub-
ricant for chains with O-ring.
CAUTION
Never use grease to lubricate the chain Grease
helps to accumulate dust and mud, which act as
abrasive and help to rapidly wear out the chain,
the front and rear sprocets

WEAR CHECK
-Check the condition of the chain (1); there may
not be any damaged rollers, loosened pins or
missing O-rings.
-Check the condition of the pinion (2) and crown
(3) teeth; if the teeth are as shown in Figure A,
they are in good condition, while if they are as
shown in Figure B, they are to be replaced.
Note*: If worn, the pinion, crown and chain have
to be replaced; using a new chain with a worn
pinion or crown, the chain will rapidly wear out.
