Responding to Alarms
When an error occurs an audible alarm will be heard and a dialog box will be displayed on the LCD
screen. The colour of the dialog box and the audible alarm will vary depending on the level of error
that has occurred.
Error that can be resolved by the operator.
Analysis does NOT stop.
Example: Consumable supply running out
Error in which analyser is able to continue
but which may interfere with operation or an
error that does not interfere with sample
preparation but requires intervention by the
operator.
Example: Part such as spreader requires
replacing or shutdown required.
Set according to
laboratory
requirements
Error due to abnormal movement of
mechanical part or sensors that monitor
movement. Analysis is STOPPED and
recovery by operator is prompted.
Example: Unable to aspirate blood or
cassette shift error.
Error has occurred that requires emergency
stop.
Example:
To silence alarm press [OK] on dialog box. NOTE: If a
second error occurs while initial dialog is on the screen the
initial dialog box will close and be replace by the new error
dialog box.
