When your radio won’t turn on
If the red LED on the radio does not light up when the radio is
turned on, it is probable that power is not reaching the radio.
Check the following:
■ Is the battery firmly attached to the radio?
■ Is the battery sufficiently charged?
■ Is the battery charger working properly?
If all appears to be in order, but your radio still fails to operate
properly, contact your radio provider for further assistance.
Checking the version of your radio
Your radio provider may ask you for the hardware and firmware
version of your radio, for troubleshooting purposes.
To check the version of your radio:
1 Long press to enter menu mode.
2 Select
ADV SETTINGS>VERSION INFO.
3 In the Version Information menu, use and to scroll
through the list of version information available.
The information that may be available is:
— firmware version (FW VER)
— hardware version (HW VER)
— main database (MAIN DB)
— calibration database (CAL DB).
