About groups and scan groups
A trunked radio system may consist of a many fleets of radios,
each with a number of groups and scan groups.
A group consists of radio users either within the same fleet, or
across multiple fleets. A scan group is a group of groups.
When your radio belongs to a group or scan group, it is said to be
‘subscribed’, and you receive all calls directed to that group of
users.
It is not possible to make a call to a scan group, but you can call
any of its constituent groups.

conference calls, in which all members of the group can partic-
ipate, or
broadcast calls, in which only the sender can speak.
