Selecting a control channel
The ‘site select’ feature allows you to select a control channel for
the radio, overriding the usual way the radio selects a control
channel. The process the radio normally uses to select a control
channel is known as ‘hunting’.
To manually select a control channel, you may be able to either:
■ use a programmed function key, or
■ use the main menu
Using a function key
This feature is available for radios with an alphanumeric keypad
only.
1 Enter the number of the required control channel using the
keypad.
2 Press the assigned function key and the radio attempts to
acquire the selected control channel.
To deactivate site select:
■ Press the assigned function key again to resume normal
control channel hunting. The message RESUMING briefly
appears in the display.

to enter menu mode.
2 Select
