TROUBLESHOOTING
To
Lower
the Lift Arms
If
the
lift
arms must be
lowered
to the ground
while
the engine is stopped, use the
following
procedure
to
do
so.
WARNING:
This operation is dangerous and
requires experience. Have it performed by a
Takeuchi
dealer
if
possible.
Procedure
AwARNING
Do not approach the area where the
lift
arms are to be
lowered.
You
may be hit
by dirt
falling
out of the bucket or the
lift
arms as it drops.
Turn
the port
relief valve's
set screw
slowly
so that the
lift
arms
lowers
slowly.
Do not turn the screw more
than the specified amount.

Tilt
up
the canopy.

2. Put mark
(M)
on the
plug
of
the port
relief
valve
(1)
and set screw
(2)
.
3. Gripping the set screw
(2)
with a
hexagonal
wrench so that it does not turn together
with the lock
nut
(3)
,
loosen
the
lock
nut
(3)
.
4.
Turn the set screw
(2)
slowly
1 and 1/2
turns to
lower the
lift
arms.
5.
Check for safety and machine
stability.
6.
Turn the set screw
(2)
back to its
original
position.
7.
Gripping the set screw
(2)
with a
hexagonal
wrench so that it does not turn together
with the
lock
nut
(3)
, tighten the lock
nut
(3)
.
Tightening torque:
20
±
1
N·m
(14.5
±
0.7 ft-lb.)
8.
Lower the canopy.
