ENTER-EXeCUteS a command and begins pro-
cessing the command line you type.

moves down one line and returns to the left mar-
gin.)

J-Ends the current line, and moves the cur-
sor to the next line without processing the line.

to execute the command line when it
is complete.

DEL-Resets your computer the same
as
if
you had turned it
off
and then on again.

PAUSE-StOPS scrolling information on
the screen to let you view
it.

MS-DOS
provides several key combinations to
help you edit an MS-DOS command line. These
keys act on the command line in the last-corn-
mand memory, or template. Press
F3
to display the
template. You can execute the command line
again by pressing
ENTER,
or you can use the fol-
lowing keys to edit the command line in the tem-
plate.
ENTER-Enter line. Make the new line the new tem-
plate, and executes the command line.
Esc-Void line. Voids the new line but does not af-
fect the template.
INS-lnSert character. Goes into the insert mode to
enable you to insert characters into the template.
Press
~3
to end the insert function.
DEL-Delete character. Erases the next character
from the template. The character is skipped and is
not copied to the command line.
Fi-Copy character. Copies the next character
from the template, and displays it on the command
line.
