Smart-Vue Administrator Manual Thermo Fisher Scientific
2.2.2 Daily • Check system every day
• Launch the Smart-Vue Client application every day. Make sure
that all sensors are read at least once per day by one or more
users.
• Make sure that no error codes are displayed on the Smart-Vue
client dashboard (main screen), such as “-999”. Check the
diagnostics section later in this document in case an error is
displayed.
• Look at the list of current alarms and acknowledge those that
should be acknowledged. You may acknowledge the alarms for
which the problem has been resolved.
• Check the technical alarms displayed with blue text, and proceed
with repair:
Low battery alarm: Contact your purchasing department to
order new batteries, or contact your Thermo Scientific
sales representative.
Alarm due to lost communication with wireless
end-point module: This is generally not a serious alarm.
Simply make sure that the end-point module in question
re-established communication with the receiver by
checking the date and time of the last reading (by holding
your mouse cursor over the last-read value). This value
should have been recorded in the period between the
current time and the measurement interval. For example,
if it is 10:00 and the last reading is from 9:10, and the
measurement period is one hour, then the system is OK.
Otherwise double-click on the value of the last reading in
Smart-Vue Client and wait about 30 seconds to update the
reading. If this does not work, check the instructions to
follow for error code -998 later in this document
Sensor communication error: see instructions for error
code -997.
• Back-up your data every day
• Contact your database administrator to setup a daily backup
strategy.
