Smart-Vue Administrator Manual Thermo Fisher Scientific
This method will not detect incorrect phone number or e-mail address
configuration. For example, you may enter an incomplete e-mail address
for night or weekend mode, but carry out your alert test successfully in
day mode.
2.2.4 Monthly • Range tests (Smart-Vue Client ==> Tools)
• Using Smart-Vue Client to run a performance test once a month.
All end-point modules must have a signal strength of 30% or
higher. Repeat the operation for end-point modules whose signal
is weaker than 30% (by double-clicking on the end-point
module(s) in question) to check the signal strength again. If you
get the same results three times, you can conclude that the signal
is in fact too weak. Improve signal strength by adding one or
more repeaters, or by re-running the automatic installation
procedure using the SDP sequence described earlier (typically for
smaller networks with 15 or fewer wireless end-point modules).
• Battery tests (Smart-Vue Client ==> Tools)
• Check your end-point modules’ battery status once a month. If
any end-point modules show a battery level less than 10%, you
should change their battery immediately.
• Datalogging (Smart-Vue Client ==> Tools)
• Check datalogging status once a month. This enables you to make
sure that your end-point modules are all running correctly and are
logging data in memory at regular intervals.
• Generate a report
• Create a monthly sensor report. The average, highest, and lowest
values are important pieces of information to ensure the proper
operation of your devices.
2.2.5Yearly • Check and change batteries
• Depending on your usage, you may choose to change batteries
every year.
