supportontheextendedliftcylindertoholdupthe
bed.
2.Removethedrainplugandletoilowintoadrain
pan(Figure47).Whentheoilstops,installthedrain

ReplacingtheSparkPlugs
ServiceInterval:Every400hours
Thesparkplugsusuallylastalongtime;however,the
plugsshouldberemovedandcheckedwheneverthe
enginemalfunctionsorevery400hours.Replacethe
sparkplugstoensureproperengineperformanceand
reduceexhaustemissionlevel.
ThecorrectsparkplugtouseisaChampionRC14YC
orNGKBPR4ES.
Therecommendedairgapis0.032inch(0.81mm).
1.Cleantheareaaroundthesparkplugssoforeign
mattercannotfallintothecylinderwhenyouremove
thesparkplug.
2.Pullwiresoffofthesparkplugsandremovethe
plugsfromthecylinderhead.
3.Checktheconditionofthesideelectrode,center
electrode,andcenterelectrodeinsulatortoensure
thatthereisnodamage.
Important:Acracked,fouled,dirty,or
otherwisemalfunctioningsparkplugmust
bereplaced.Donotsandblast,scrape,or
cleanelectrodesbyusingawirebrushbecause
gritmayeventuallyreleasefromtheplugand
fallintothecylinder.Theresultisusuallya
damagedengine.
