10)topreventaccidentalmovementofthevehicle.
•Tosettheparkingbrake,pullbackontheparking-brake
lever.
•Toreleasetheparkingbrake,pushtheleverforward.
Note:Releasetheparkingbrakebeforemovingthe
vehicle.
•Ifyouparkthevehicleonasteepuphillordownhillgrade,
shiftthetransmissionintoP(park)andsettheparking
brake.Placechocksatthedownhillsideofthewheels.

Thehydraulicliftraisesandlowersthebed.Movethe
hydraulicliftleverrearwardtoraisethebed,andforwardto
lowerit(Figure11).
Important:Whenloweringthebed,holdtheleverinthe
forwardpositionfor1or2secondsafterthebedcontacts
theframetosecureitintheloweredposition.Donot
holdthehydraulicliftineithertheraiseorlowerposition
formorethan5secondsoncethecylindershavereached
theendoftheirtravel.
