easiertoinstallthembeforeinstallingthebedonthemachine.
Note:Ensurethattherearpivotplatesareboltedtothebed
frame/channelsothatlowerendanglestotherear(Figure43).

1.Ensurethattheliftcylindersarefullyretracted.
2.Carefullysetthebedontotheframeofthemachine,
aligningtherearbedpivotplateholeswiththeholes
intherearframechannelandinstall2clevispinsand
lynchpins(Figure44).
Important:Thefullbedweighsapproximately
147.5kg(325lb),sodonottrytoinstallorremove
itbyyourself.Useanoverheadhoistorgetthe
helpof2or3otherpeople.
3.Withthebedlowered,secureeachcylinderrodend,to
theappropriateslotsinthebedmountingplateswitha
clevispinandlynchpin.
Note:Youmayneedtostarttheenginetoextendor
retractthecylinderstoalignthemwiththeholes.Keep
ngersaway!
4.Inserttheclevispinfromoutsideofthebedwiththe
lynchpintowardtheoutside(Figure44).
Note:Therearslotsareforafullbedinstallationand
frontslotsarefora2/3bedinstallation.
Note:Theunusedslotcanbepluggedwithaboltand
anuttopreventassemblyerrors.
5.Starttheengineandengagethehydraulicliftleverto
raisethebed.
6.Releasetheliftleverandturnofftheengine.
7.Installthebedsafetysupporttopreventaccidental
loweringofthebed.RefertoUsingtheBedSafety
Support(page36).
8.Installthelynchpinstotheinsideendsoftheclevis
pins.
Note:Iftheautomatictailgatereleasehasbeen
installedonthebed,ensurethatthefrontdumplink
rodhasbeenplacedontheinsideoftheleftsideclevis
pinbeforethelynchpinisinstalled.
JackingtheMachine
DANGER
Amachineonajackmaybeunstableandslipoffof
thejack,injuringanyonebeneathit.
Donotstarttheenginewhilethemachineis
onajack.
Alwaysremovethekeyfromtheswitchbefore
gettingoffofthemachine.
Blockthetireswhenthemachineisonajack.
Donotworkunderthemachinewithoutjackstands
supportingit.Themachinecouldslipoffajack,injuring
anyonebeneathit.
Whenjackingupthefrontofthemachine,alwaysplacea
2x4block(orsimilarmaterial)betweenthejackandthe
machineframe.
Thejackingpointatthefrontofthemachineisunderthe
frontcenterframesupport(Figure45).Attherearofthe
machine,thejackingpointisundertheaxle(Figure46).
