StoppingtheEngine
1.Movethetraction-controlleverstotheNEUTRAL
positionandbringthemachinetoafullstop;referto
Traction-ControlLevers(page14).
2.Liftyourfootoffofthetinegroundengagementfoot
switchcontroltoraisethetines;refertoRaisingthe
Tines(page21).
3.PlacethethrottleinthemidwaybetweentheSLOWand
FASTpositions;refertoThrottleLever(page14).
4.Allowtheenginetorunforaminimumof15seconds,
thenturnthekeyintheignitionswitchtotheOFF
positiontostoptheengine;refertoIgnitionSwitch
(page15).
5.Settheparkingbrake;refertoParking-BrakeHandle
(page15).
6.Removethekeytopreventchildrenorother
unauthorizedpersonsfromstartingtheengine.
7.Closethefuelshut-offvalvewhenthemachinewillnot
beinuseforafewdays,whentransporting,orwhen
themachineisparkedinsideabuilding;refertoFuel
Shut-OffValve(page15).
DrivingtheMachine
CAUTION
Machinecanspinveryrapidlybypositioning1lever
toomuchaheadoftheother.Operatormaylose
controlofthemachine,whichmaycausedamage
tothemachineorinjury.
Usecautionwhenmakingturns.
Slowthemachinedownbeforemakingsharp
turns.
Important:Tobeginmovement(forwardorbackward),
thebrakelevermustbedisengaged(pushedforward)
beforethetraction-controlleverscanbemoved.
