ServiceInterval:Every50hours
Squealingwhenthebeltisrotating,bladesslippingwhen
cuttinggrass,frayedbeltedges,burnmarksandcracksare
signsofaworndeckbelt.Replacethedeckbeltifanyof
theseconditionsareevident.
1.DisengagethePTOandsettheparkingbrake.
2.Stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitforallmoving
partstostopbeforeleavingtheoperatingposition.
3.Unlatchandremovethecarrier-framecover.
4.Unlatchandremovethebeltcovers.
5.RemovethePTOdrivebelt;refertoReplacingthe
PTO-DriveBelt(page39)
6.Disconnecttheidlerarmspringtorelievetensionon
theidlerarmandidlerpulley,thenremovetheworn
mowerbelt(Figure49).
7.Installthenewmowerbeltaroundthe2outsidespindle
pulleys,theidlerpulley,andinthelowergrooveofthe
double-spindlepulley(Figure49).
8.Connecttheidler-armspring(Figure49).
9.InstallthePTO-drivebelt;refertoReplacingthe
PTO-DriveBelt(page39).
10.Adjustthebeltguide3mm(1/8inch)fromthebelt
(Figure49).
11.Installthebeltcoversontothecuttingunitandsecure
thelatches.
12.Installthecarrier-framecoverontothecuttingunitand
securethelatches.
