6. Slowly pour approximately 80% of the specied
oil into the ller tube and slowly add the
additional oil to bring it to the Full mark ( Figure
57 ).

7. Start the engine and drive to a at area.
8. Check the oil level again.
Changing the Engine-Oil Filter
1. Drain the oil from the engine; refer to Changing
the Engine Oil ( page 47 ) .
2. Change the engine-oil lter ( Figure 58 ).

Note: Ensure that the oil-lter gasket touches
the engine, and then turn the oil lter an extra
3/4 turn.
3. Fill the crankcase with the proper type of new
oil; refer to Changing the Engine Oil ( page 47 ) .
