oil into the ller tube and slowly add the
additional oil to bring it to the Full mark ( Figure
68 ).

Changing the Engine-Oil Filter
Service Interval : Every 200 hours —For Kohler
engines—change the engine-oil
lter (more often in dirty or dusty
conditions).
1. Drain the oil from the engine; refer to Changing
the Engine Oil ( page 52 ) .
2. Change the engine-oil lter ( Figure 69 ).

Note: Ensure that the oil-lter gasket touches
the engine, and then turn the oil lter an extra
3/4 turn.
3. Fill the crankcase with the proper type of new
oil; refer to Engine-Oil Specications ( page 51 ) .
Servicing the Spark Plug

engines—check the spark plug(s).
Every 500 hours —For Kohler engines—replace
the spark plug(s).
