isinstalled.
1.Stopengine,waitforallmovingpartstostop,and
removekey.Engageparkingbrake.
2.Waitformufertocool.
3.Ifanybreaksinthescreenorweldsareobserved,
replacethearrester.
4.Ifpluggingofthescreenisobserved,removethe
arresterandshakelooseparticlesoutofthearrester
andcleanscreenwithawirebrush(soakinsolventif
necessary).Reinstallarresteronexhaustoutlet.

Note:Thereisnootherrecommendedwaytodrainfuel
fromthetank,otherthanusingasyphonpump.Asyphon
pumpcanbepurchasedatahardwarestore.
DANGER
Incertainconditions,gasolineisextremely
ammableandhighlyexplosive.Areorexplosion
fromgasolinecanburnyouandothersandcan
damageproperty.
•Draingasolinefromthefueltankwhenthe
engineiscold.Dothisoutdoorsinanopenarea.
Wipeupanygasolinethatspills.
•Neversmokewhendraininggasoline,andstay
awayfromanopenameorwhereasparkmay
ignitethegasolinefumes.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.Disengagethe
powertakeoff(PTO),settheparkingbrake,turnthe
ignitionkeytoOffandremovethekey.
2.Cleanaroundthefuelcaptopreventdebrisfrom
gettingintothefueltank(Figure52).
3.Removethefuelcap.
4.Insertasyphonpumpintothefueltank.
5.Usingthesyphonpump,drainthefuelintoacleangas
can(Figure51).
6.Wipeupanyspilledfuel.
