15. Remove the bevel gear from the input shaft (Fig.
522).
17. Remove the lockout plate from the housing (Fig.
524).

18. Turn the housing over and remove the 3 screws that
secure the shift cover to the housing (Fig. 525).
16. Remove the 2 screws securing the lockout plate
from the housing (Fig. 523).
