4. Remove the idler pulley from the idler bracket (Fig.
898).

5. Remove the spacer from the idler bracket (Fig. 899).

6. Using a spring removal tool (Toro part no. 92-5771),
remove the idler spring from the idler bracket and
mower deck (Fig. 900).

7. Remove the nut and lock washer from the shoulder
bolt securing the idler bracket to the mower deck
(Fig. 901).
