14. Insert a spring removal tool through the opening in
the rear of the machine (Fig. 498).
16. Loosen the bolts securing the rear tires to the axle
(Fig. 500).

17. Raise and support the machine so the rear tires are
off the ground.
18. Remove the bolt and washer retaining the rear tire to
the axle (Fig. 501).
15. Using the spring removal tool, unhook the hydro
linkage return spring from the stud (Fig. 499).
