Backlapping
DANGER
TO AVOID PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH:
D Never place hands or feet in the reel area
while the engine is running or if the 48 VDC bat -
tery pack is connected. Disconnect the cutting
units from the electrical power supply by sepa-
rating the 48 VDC battery disconnect (see 48 VDC
Battery Disconnect in the General Information
section of this chapter).
D While backlapping, the reels may stall and
then restart.
D Do not attempt to restart reels by hand or foot.
D Do not adjust reels while the engine is
running or if the 48 VDC battery pack is connect-
ed.
D If a reel stalls, stop engine and separate the 48
VDC battery disconnect before attempting to
clear the reel.
