The brake should be adjusted by setting the hydraulic pressure and discharge rate in the hydraulic circuit.
Pressure adjustment in the hydraulic circuit.
The oil pressure in the hydraulic circuit is to be adjusted with the VP 1 relief valve at about 0,9 MPa. Its value may be
read on the pressure gauge Man 1.
Spindle run out depends on the oil discharge rate through the check throttle valve from the hydraulic cylinder.
Setting of the oil discharge in hydraulic circuit.
The brake time and the work spindle run out can be prolonged by reducing (throttling) the oil discharge rate by means of the
VZŠ 1 valve (so-called brake adjustment).
For brake adjustment the following work spindle run out of the lathe is reccommended by the manufacturer (without
workpiece), if devices below are used:
max. speed: run out:
face-plate 280 r.p.m. 7,5 sec
chuck 450 r.p.m. 7,0 sec
