Limit switches
There are two limit switches mounted on the same metal
bracket at the bottom end of the column. One to stop the
motor at the top position and one for stopping the motor if
the chair/stretcher hits an obstacle when lowering or at the
lowest position.
Limit switch for stopping the chair/stretcher at the top posi-
tion.
When you press the up pad and go to the top position an
adjustable rod inside the stainless steel column lifts and hits
a limit switch which stops the motor from further winding.
Later models without rod, has an overload protection built
in the circuit board which stops the motor when the chair/
stretcher is at the top position. Press the down pad for lower-
ing.

position.
The chair/stretcher runs up or down when there is a tension
in the drivebelt. When a chair/stretcher hits an obstacle while
lowering or is at its lowest position, the mechanism feels
the lack of tension in the drivebelt and stops the motor from
unwinding. When the drivebelt slackens press the up pad to
tension the drivebelt and the chair/stretcher runs upwards.
Motor
There is hardly any fault with the motor. In very doubtful cases
rst check the fuse and the electrically wires. Test the motor
function by connecting the motor to the batteries directly and
via the capacitor to check if the capacitor is faulty. Warning:
Be careful when running the motor from winding to the drive
belt to the top position as the limit switch will be out of
function.
Drivebelt
Check the drivebelt from damages all the way. See info later in
this document how to change the drivebelt.
