Removing
1. Lower the stretcher to its lowest position by pressing
the down pad and remove the pillow and mattress. Lift
the white shelf and remove the square lid on top of the
sledge.
2. Release the “rod grub screw” seen inside the column.
Push the rod from underneath to unload the pressure
from its spring.
Remove the stretcher in three phases:
3. Two persons needed for lifting the stretcher about
100 mm/4 inches. A third man has to put adhesive tape
around the sledge to keep the top sliding washers and the
shims in place (to make it easier later on when
assembling).
4. Lift the stretcher some more and put also adhesive tape
on the lower plastic washers, see picture.
5. Lift the stretcher and remove the screw holding the drive
belt (see photo) on the sledge, see picture. Lift off the
stretcher with the sledge completely and place it on the
oor beside the chassis.
6. Lay down the chassis on its side and remove the bottom
cover and loosen the top cover.
7. Disconnect wires and hoses on the circuit-board and
remove the top cover.
Assembling
8. Change to the new top cover, install the circuit board and
connect the terminals and hoses.
9. Mount the bottom cover and raise the chassis on wheels.
10. Remount the sledge and stretcher. When pulling the drive
belt in the sledge be sure of that the drive belt is not
twisted. Put the belt shaft into the belt loop and tighten
the screw. Push the sledge further down and remove all
the tape
11. Fasten the grub screw (2) on the rod, inside the column.
Push the rod from underneath to unload the spring
pressure.
12. Mount the square lid on top of the sledge and put the
mattress and pillow back on the stretcher. Make a nal
test by going up and down with the stretcher.
