DESCRIPTION OF OPERATION SYSTEM
INTAKE/EXHAUST SYSTEM
< General Information >
General Information
Our new engine applies all appli-
cable advanced technologies to
satisfy the tightened restrictions
exhaust, while also improving
fuel efficiency and reducing ex-
haust gas.
The exhaust reduction system
features a diesel oxidation cata-
lyst (DOC) device to reduce soot
particles and an exhaust gas re-
circulation (EGR) system and
(SCR) system to reduce the ni-
trogen oxide (NOx) from the en-
gine exhaust gas.
(1) The EGR system is a device that
recirculates exhaust gas to re-
duce NOx emissions.
(2) The muffler has a diesel oxida-
tion catalyst (DOC) device in it.
- This DOC device reduces HC
and CO emissions in exhaust
gas with reduction catalysts.
(3) SCR is used to reduce NOx in
emissions by spraying urea into
the SCR catalyst.
