Read the instrucons carefully to become familiar with the equipment before trying to install, operate, service or maintain it.
The following messages may appear throughout this manual or on the equipment to warn of potenal hazards or to call aen-
on to informaon that claries or simplies a procedure.
Safety Symbols
The following symbols and markings related to safety are used on the EDGE system, the EMS and throughout this document.
Their denions are as follows:
This symbol indicates that an electrical hazard exists which will result in personal injury if the instrucons are not fol-
lowed.
This is the safety symbol indicates a warning/cauon to a potenal hazard or that and an appropriate safety instruc-
on should be followed
This symbol indicates that the item is heavy or risk of injury and may require two persons or appropriate liing
equipment to carry or manoeuvre. Appropriate liing and carrying instrucons should be followed.
This Marking (when used), indicates that product is congured for 100 to 130V operaon
This Marking indicates that product is congured for 200 to 240V operaon
Safety Indicators
The following are used throughout the documentaon to indicate the appropriate hazard or instrucon related to safety.
DANGER indicates an imminently hazardous situaon which, if not avoided, will result in death
or serious injury.
WARNING
WARNING indicates a potenally hazardous situaon which, if not avoided, can result in death
or serious injury.
CAUTION
CAUTION indicates a potenally hazardous situaon which, if not avoided, can result in minor
or moderate injury.
CAUTION
CAUTION, used without the safety alert symbol, indicates a potenally hazardous situaon
which, if not avoided, can result in equipment damage.
NOTICE
NOTICE addresses pracces not related to physical injury including certain environmental
hazards, potenal damage or loss of data
