1.5.1. Humidier
There are two options- Infrared humidier and Electrode humidier
• Infrared Humidier
The infrared humidier (shown in Figure 1-5) consists of infrared humidier lamp, water injection valve,
humidifying water dish, temperature alarm protection devices and water level alarm device. The infrared
humidier in the Liebert PEX4 series provides quicker and more responsive operation which is quite important
for mission-critical applications. These humidiers reduce the dependency of water quality.

• Electrode Humidier
The electrode humidier uses the electrodes to boil the water in humidier bottle to produce steam for
humidifying purpose. It has dierent requirement for water quality and sizes of inlet/ outlet pipes with respect to
standard. Steam from the cylinder is mixed with the discharge air from the evaporating coil by a copper steam
distributor. The humidication rate for 1-bay unit is 5 kg and for 2-bay unit the humidication rate is 8 kg.
