5 MAINTENANCE
5.1 General
DANGER:
1
Do not work with and/or at any operating
machine, ensure drive is disconnected and engine
is stopped (prevent unwanted engine restart e.g.
through removing of key)!
2
Use the appropiate tooling!
3
Adequately support a lifted machine!
Close
the cock of the lifting cylinder!
5.1.1 Attaching elements
Regularly check all attaching elements (bolts, nuts, etc.) are
tightened adequately.
Regularly check that all bolts and nuts are tightened firmly,
especially the bolts securing the lid of the mowing unit (see
attention above). The torque table of section 5.9 gives the
applicable standard torque values. Not standard torques
can be found in IPL, in special cases they are published
through service bulletins, etc. (ask your dealer!).
5.1.2 Space between skid saucers and drum
skirts
Keep the space between skid saucers and drum skirt clean,
this in order to avoid sticking of the blades and/or
imbalance.
5.2 Adjustment of ground pressure
compensation springs
Ground pressure is compensated through tension spring units
(16). These units are adjustable with handles (21). The
tension spring units hmust be adjusted to ensure that the
mowing units will be lifted horizontally.
Adjust the compenstation force as follows:
1
Put machine in working position.
2
Slacken check nuts (22).
3
Rotate set bolts (23) to produce the required distance L
(=visible thread length).
With conditioner:
L
left
= 120 mm, L
right
= 205 mm.
Rotate set bolts (23) as follows:
bolts (23) to the left = ground pressure lower,
bolts (23) to the right = ground pressure higher.
4
Retighten check nuts (22) well.
