Attention:
ALWAYS recheck new position by rotating the drums:
the minimum distance between two blades that may
occur is 2 cm (4/5 in)!

Install skid saucer.
5.7 Shearbolt overload protection of
the conditioner
If a blockage occurs in the conditioner area, shearbolt (28)
of the chain drive will break causing the drive system to stop.
Clear the blockage and install a new shearbolt
M8x40DIN931-8.8 ('ND1586V') and a new selflocking
hex. M8-nut ('ND2097V').
To replace the shearbolt proceed as follows:
To replace shearbolt (28),put machine in trasport position
(see 4.1).

Release bolts and nuts (30) and pull out the protective
hood (34) of the chain case.

Remove all residues of the shearbolt.
Attention:
When replacing the shearbolt ensure that no broken
parts can fall down. It must therefore be ensured that
the shearbolt (28) is secured by both retaining rings
“DZ117”!

Insert the new shearbolt into the outer flange, rotate the
drums so as to move the bolt through the inner flange,
too. Replace the nut.
Attention:
Tighten the nut slightly only (24 N) to prevent any ter-
sile stress.

Install the protective hood (34) and tighten bolts and
nuts (30).
Holder on the lh side of the conditioner contains spare
shearbolts.
