Preparing the
machine
The machine is divided into its main components for transport to the
user. The machine must be assembled in accordance with the specific
assembly instructions delivered with each machine.
The following chapter is for initial assembling, shortening of the PTO
shaft etc. When assembling after, only certain attachment points
should be carried out.
Initial connection of the machine
Exercise caution when a new machine is connected for the first time.
Make sure that all safety instructions are complied with.
Following the safety instructions will increase your personal safety.
Failure to follow the safety instructions may result in serious injuries
and accidents.
Changing the cutting
width
The machine's cutting width can be changed by moving the
attachment point for securing the cutting unit on the arm.
The cutting width can be reduced by 130 mm (5”). This provides a
better adaptation for a narrow mower fitted to the front of the tractor.
The machine's cutting unit must be positioned on the ground in the
working position.
The cutting width is changed as follows:
Undo and remove the nut, discs, cone and bolt.
Move the machine's cutting unit so that the bolt can be fitted in the
other attachment point.
Fit the bolt, cone, discs and nut.
Tighten the bolt and nut to the given torque.
When changing the machine's cutting width, the length of the PTO
shaft must always be checked, as there is a significant risk of damage
to the machine.
When checking and shortening the PTO shaft, refer to the manufac-
turer's instructions, delivered with the PTO shaft.
