Safety concerning maintenance work on the cutting unit
When working on the cutting unit, the tractor must be stopped and
secured.
This prevents the machine from suddenly starting to rotate.
If the tractor and the PTO shaft have not been connected following the
instructions serious accidents causing damage to limbs can occur.
When working on the cutting unit:
• The tractor engine must be stopped.
• The ignition key must be removed.
• The PTO shaft must be disconnected.
• The tractor hydraulic system must be disconnected.
• The hand brake must be activated.

The stone guard and counter knife are inspected as follows:
The machine must be fitted on the tractor.
Pull in the cord.
Activate the tractor's hydraulics and lift the machine up to the
transport position.
Check that the machine is secured with the transport lock.
Secure the machine with the correct support.
Carefully lower the machine down onto the support.
Stop the tractor.
