5.18.4 Configuration
The DVR is configured by On Screen Menu. Refer to the corresponding manual for an explanation of the
various configuration items.
The DVR should be configured for RS485 type communication, with an appropriate identification address and
baud rate.
5.18.4.1 OSM Configuration
Connect the DVR directly to the keyboard and a monitor to the MONITOR 1 output.

The DVR shows the on screen menu; the keyboard display indicates the mode change:

5.18.7 Dedicated Functions
As well as the normal procedure for selecting input videos, the SONY DVR is provided with numerous other
functions that are activated by pressing key combinations corresponding to the keys on the DVR’s local keypad.
The
key is used to change the number of the unit responding to the command.
