6. Fitting Fibre Parts in a QE20 Cabinet
The QE20 Fibre Networking Kit is a pre-assembled module containing a PIB, VIF,
ATA, and a Moxa switch. It occupies 3 x 60mm module positions of the QE20
mounting frame, usually fitted within 1 frame distance of the RS485 Network Module
so the supplied cables can be used.
Additional PIBs, or VIF & ATA pairs can be mounted on FP2029 General Purpose
brackets. This bracket occupies 1 x 60mm position of the mounting frame and can fit
one PIB, or 1 VIF and 1 ATA. It should be mounted in the very right-hand position of
a frame so it can overhang into the spare space.
Note that the Fibre Network Kit cannot be mounted in a shallow cabinet.
