Requirements
• Retarder switched off
• Ignition switched off
• Retarder oil discharged (see page 22)
Removal
1. Unscrew the screw plug (3500).
2. Knock out pressure control valve (2200) with the
impact puller (99/5) and the screw plug (50/43)
from the retarder housing.

There are two variants of the pressure control
valve.
- Pressure control valve variant 1 without sieve.
Sieve is at the screw plug (3500)
- Variant 2; sieve is located directly in the
pressure control valve
Ö With variant 1, the pressure control valve (2200)
is only removed with the impact puller (99/5).
