Pedal Assist
What is Pedal Assist?
Pedal assist, also referred to as pedelec, is an operating mode on an e-bike where
the motor kicks in while you are pedaling. This design helps you pedal easier using a
combination of sensors that measure the torque and cadence (force and speed) of your
pedaling. This information transfers to the bike’s controller, which generates the needed
power. With pedal assist, you will feel a little extra push propelling you forward while you
pedal, allowing you to go farther and faster with less effort and more enjoyment, making it
easier to ride long distances without getting tired.
