Group 22: Lubrication System
The engines are provided with a complete pressure
lubrication system. The lubricating oil pump is a gear
wheel pump,
and is driven by the crankshaft. Lubricat-
ing oil is led through an external pipe to the valve
mechanism.
The lubrication system has a relief valve which limits
the maximum oil pressure in the engine.
The oil filter is of full-flow type and is fitted with an
overflow valve.
