9989876 Dial indicator
9995192 Gauge rod
1 Check the piston height with tools
9989876 Dial
indicator and 9995192 Gauge rod. Select a new
cylinder head gasket; refer to Group 21:
Engine page 14.
Check that the valve lifters are in place.
2 Check that the engine block guide pins for the
cylinder head are in place. Install a new cylinder
head gasket with the marking upwards.
Put the cylinder head in place. Insert the bolts (1)
and torque them according to the tightening
sequence and to the specific torque; refer to
Tightening torques page 9.
3 Put the push rods (1) and valve caps (2) in place.
