Guidelines for replacement
In normal conditions, unevenness may occur on the
surface
of
engine camshaft lobes. This does not mean
that the camshaft has to be changed. These marks do
not have any negative influence on either engine per-
formance or the durability of the engine and its com-
ponents.
Examples of acceptable wear and unacceptable wear
are shown below.

The camshaft does not need to be changed. NOTICE! The camshaft and associated rocker arms
must be changed.
