Valves, Removal
Cylinder head removed
Tools:
885023 Valve spring compressor
885498 Adapter
1 Remove the busbar (1
) and glow plugs (2).
Remove the valves (3) with the aid of
885023 Valve spring compressor and
885498 Adapter. Mark the valves.
Remove the valve seals.
Valves, Installation
Tools:
885023 Valve spring compressor
885498 Adapter
1 Install the valve (1) in the cylinder head as
marked. Install a new valve seal (2), spring (3)
and valve spring washer (4).
Compress the valve spring with the spring clamp
and install the collets (5).
2 Install the glowplugs and tighten to the specified
torque: refer to Tightening torques page 9. Install
the busbar.
