ARTICULATION LOCK BAR

During shipment and before performing any checks or service
operations, place the articulation lock bar in the locked position.
For compaction operation, the lock bar is to be removed from the locked
position and placed in the stowed position.

The articulation lock bar is used to prevent accidental articulation of the compactor. The lock
bar must be in the locked position (1, Figure 3-1) prior to shipment and before performing any
checks or service operations.
