4. Slide the dual-threaded fitting with captive ferrule into the column inlet.
5. Finger-tighten the dual-threaded fitting with ferrule, into the column inlet.
6. Tighten the cap nut onto the dual-threaded, finger-tight fitting.
2.5.2 Connecting a standard configuration with passive preheater
The tubing for the column compartment extends from the sample manager's injection valve outlet.
It continues through the passive preheater to the column, and terminates at the detector inlet.
The figures below represent the tubing connections and components required for a standard
configuration that includes the passive preheater.
