Cutting stainless steel tubing
When cutting tubing, avoid angled cuts. These create a bad fit between the
tubing and connector port, which creates eddies (unswept volume) at the
junction.
To cut stainless steel tubing:
1. Estimate or measure the length of tubing required to connect the
components. Allow slack.
2. Use a cutting file to circumscribe the tube at the point you want to cut it.
3. Hold the tubing on either side of the scribe mark with two cloth-covered
pliers, and gently work it back and forth until it separates.
Caution: Do not pull tubing tightly around sharp corners.
