What to do if the output flange overtravels a position in my WEISS NR Industrial Equipment?

  If the output flange of your WEISS Industrial Equipment overtravels a position, it could be due to several reasons. The rotary switch might be set to an excessively high stop delay time, in which case you should set a correct stop delay time with the rotary switch. This may only provide a temporary fix. Another cause could be a worn holding brake, which would require replacement. If the position is overtraveled intermittently but with increasing frequency, it may stem from contact erosion or wear of the holding brake. Replacing the motor contactor, possibly with a semiconductor relay, may resolve this.

Why doesn't the output flange/rotary ring rotate on my WEISS Industrial Equipment?

  If the output flange or rotary ring of your WEISS Industrial Equipment doesn't rotate, there are a few potential causes. First, the toothed belt between the motor and gear might be torn, in which case it should be replaced. Second, there might be no motor supply voltage. Measure the voltage, check all fuses, and inspect the motor protection switch. Finally, the motor itself might be inoperable, requiring replacement.

  If the output flange or rotary ring of your WEISS Industrial Equipment is mechanically blocked, verify that the output flange or rotary ring is not mechanically blocked at the top or the underside and remove the cause of the block. Also, check the gap between the rotary ring and stationary plate for extraneous objects and remove any that are found.
