6. Transport and Storage Methods
6.1. Storage
Pay attention to the following when storing this device.
• Do not store it in close proximity to flammable gas.
• Store in a location with an ambient temperature of -15°C and 40°C ( 5 °F and 104°F).
• Do not lay the device on its side.
CAUTION
Store the device in a flat location.
There is a risk of damage to the device.
Do not store the device for long periods in a location where there is much dust or sand, near
the ocean, or in a hot spring area.
There is a risk of foreign substances entering the device and corroding the frame and screws.
Do not store the device with a heavy object placed on it for a long period of time.
There is a risk of device malfunction.
Do not store the device or storage basket outdoors in a location exposed to direct sunlight
or rain.
There is a risk that rain may cause a short circuit, and that direct sunlight may cause
deformation or deterioration of the device or storage basket. Store them indoors or in another
location under a roof.

When storing for a long period of time
When storing for a long period (4 months or longer), remove the battery from the base. At least
once every 3 months, charge the battery and check that the device operates correctly.
When using this device again after a prolonged period of disuse, charge the battery before using,
and be sure to check that the device operates correctly before using it.
CAUTION
If the device is not used for a long period, be sure to charge it at least once every 3 months.
If it is left uncharged, there is a risk that the battery may become excessively depleted.
