Note
For the Xerox Nuvera 200/288/314 EA/MX, the paper is purged to area 5b of both print engines as
required.
Top Tray Paper Purge
The top tray is the default purge location. However, for a 157 system with a SRM/BFM configuration,
jammed sheets in the BFM or SRM are not purged to the Top Tray. Make sure to manually clear all sheets
in those two modules.
Area 5b Paper Purge
Access Area 5b by the door located at the lower front right corner of the print engine.
This paper purge location is enabled by default. To disable the area 5b purge:
1. Logon to the FreeFlow Print Server as a System Administrator.

Accessing the User Diagnostics mode pauses the printer.
2. Select System and User Diagnostics.
3. From the left navigation bar, select System Optimization Customer Setup.
4. Select/deselect the check box next to Enable Area 5B Purge.
5. Select OK to apply the setting.
6. Select File and Close.
7. Resume the printer.
