Firmware Structure and Descriptions
This Engine Control Firmware is a program that controls the laser beam printer engine of the
Phaser 3124 and Phaser 3125. This firmware is executed every 10msec as an interrupt routine
by the main system. At stand-by state, this firmware monitors the enable print command signal
from the main system. If the enable print command signal is detected, this firmware controls the
engine mechanism according to the printing process and paper feeding state.
Engine Control Firmware Overview
Engine Control Firmware is executed every 10msec by a timer from the main system. And it
consists of 3 control modules.
Engine Main Control
Interface Control and Sensing
Unit Control Module.
Major operations of the Engine Control Firmware are as follows:
Pick-Up, Feeding and Discharging of Paper Control
LSU Control
HVPS Developer Process Control
Fuser Temperature Control
