Valve clearance measurement
1. Measure:
• Valve clearance
Out of specification → Adjust the valve
clearance.
Refer to “Valve clearance adjustment” in
Chapter 5.
NOTE:
Measure the valve clearance when the engine
is cold.
Valve clearance (cold):
Intake a:
0.14–0.23 mm (0.006–0.009 in)
Exhaust b:
0.28–0.37 mm (0.011–0.015 in)
